Rich Folkers allowed John McNamara to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game and catcher Bob Davis had 2 base hits as the San Diego Padres outscored
the Cincinnati Reds 3 to 2.
Cincinnati never recovered after San Diego took the lead in the bottom of the
6th inning plating an isolated run. San Diego and Cincinnati each finished
the night with 8 hits.
